My name is regina. I have been obessed like yourself with hedgehogs since I was 11. It got to the point where my mother was really worried about me and made me go to couciling. I hated her for it. they put me on this medication. It traumatised me so much that everytime I even see a picture of a hedgehog now I burst into tears. They used to bring me so much joy and now only sorrow! I now live in toronto and it is so cold up here that we dont get any hedgehogs. It helps but it will nevr really take away the pain. I have never forgiven my mother!

We enjoyed looking through your hedgehog site,my wife and i have recently became more interested in hedgehogs as we have two come into our garden every night. We have started leaving a small dish of dog food out for them every night and making sure its them that get it and not the local cats. We read your page about your self and were amazed you live in our area,we live just up the road from you and i recently found out that the name harris has its own coat of arms which is 3 golden hedgehogs on a sheild, anyway i wont bore you any more see you again soon andy & debbie harris

Hi, back again already with a question. Can you please tell me how to make our new pet (hedgehog) trust us and not run away. He comes at night and eats the dry cat food we put outside. We can hear him eat and we keep very quiet. We tried a couple of time to go outside while he is there but he runs off. I'd appreciate any comments. Thank you so much. Teta, Athens

Great site, no rude comments to make, I looked for info on hedgehogs, not because I own any (didn't think of them as pets) but simply because we have been adopted by hedgehogs, two years ago one lonely hedgehog visited the garden, then two, then sadly one. However this year we seem to have a family, definitly two large and 3 smaller ones. We have never used chemicals on the garden, we have areas where the mower never goes, and really large overgrown shrubs, we think there is two nesting sites one either side of the garden. They are delightful, interesting creatures, they make strange noises, and do seem to spend a lot of time scratching, there is always food in the garden mostly for birds, such as peanuts and bread, there is also a pond, no steep slippery sides, and a drinking bowl all of which they use (not the pond). The info I was looking for, was why whenthey meet do they either ram into one another or face to face snorting ? if you could answer these I would be grateful. Sorry its a bit of a long rambling message, I am just so pleased that we have been adopted.. even our cat likes them!

Hey you know this isnt bad! Its the kind of thing that makes me wanna get off my ass and embarrass some of my friends too by plastering their photos all over the net! I dont have a clue who you are - I found your site by accident really. My friend has a webpage called 'Hedhoggers...' cant remember it all. I was trying to find it when I found yours instead and was rather intrigued. I love the story thing. Shame the chat room doesnt work too well though. Well gotta go, cheerleading practice to get to. Happy Surfing!
